Season 1, Episode 6: Patent Law

The first thing that comes to mind when I think of patents is something in the scientific field but fashion has its own innovations to be patented as well. Take for example the Rocco bag by Alexander wang. The innovative take on a purse style has its own patent in the US Patent and Trademark Office, setting it apart of from any other bag and protecting its style.

In this episode, we cover patents, specifically design patents which are heavily used in the fashion industry. Design patents protect a very distinct aspect of the fashion industry; inventions.
